Rain, rain and more rain

It's been a rainy few days and today was no exception.  Due to tropical storm Maring, several areas within and outside of Metro Manila were flooded.  Looking at the posts on the net, it was a good thing that we moved houses already.  I just can't imagine what would have happen if we were still at our old place.

I decided to stay home today since PAGASA forecasted that heavy rain will persist in the next 3 hours.  I wouldn't want to be stranded somewhere.  :(

So, keep safe everyone and stay indoors.

What to watch next?

With the ending of the Kdrama Monstar and JDrama Itazura Na Kiss ~ Love in Tokyo several weeks ago, I was in the hunt for new asianovelas to watch.  And these are what piqued my interest:

1.  Shut up, Flower Boy Band
2.  Best Love
3.  Dating Agency: Cyrano
4.  I Hear Your Voice
5.  Sungkyunkwan Scandal

I don't mind that some of them are a several years old.  Actually, I prefer that, since it means no more waiting for the next episode.  :)  A definite plus!  Although I haven't decide what to watch first.  I guess I'll just go with the feel of the series.

Ofcourse, this will be on top of the series that I'm currently watching.
1.  Pretty Little Liars
2.  Suits
3.  You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin

I'm also planning to follow the new Kdramas:
1.  Who Are You?
2.  The Master's Sun

Can't wait to get started!!!  Let me know if you have watched these already and what you thought of them.  Recommendations are welcome as well.

'Til the next time.

It's a good time to be back!

Wow! It's been 3.5 years since my last post. Well, I've decided to start this up again since I want to have something to look forward to from time to time (aside from work and daily life). Also, I'd like to be able to share some of my daily life experiences with others.

This is definitely a challenge since I'm already pre occupied with work and other responsibilities. But I've already decided to give this a try and make the most out of it (Time to learn some extreme TIME MANAGEMENT!!! Hahaha!) So, from here on out, you'll be seeing small changes in the blog.

Please look forward to it and chat with you again in my future posts.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

My take on the movie I MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY

Watched this movie yesterday afternoon at MOA Center Stage cinema with several friends. Good thing that there was no line in the ticket booths, so we were able to buy our tickets real quick. I was a bit surprised when we saw that the line to get in to the theater was really long. The line already created an S pattern outside the cinema. But luckily they already started letting people in after a few minutes. We were able to get good seats. Right in the middle.

As for the movie itself, it was okay. Compared to the previous Tagalog movie I saw, I liked this better. The story was interesting enough. It had its sad moments. I felt sorry for the Malaysian husband of Bea Alonzo's character. He was really kind but sadly, he did not get the girl in the end. As a side note, this movie got me interested in visiting Malaysia. It featured lots of beautiful scenery. =) Would like to be able to go in the future.

There was twice as many people lined up when we got out the cinema. As in! Hehe. This definitely proves that many people would like to see the John Lloyd-Bea tandem again. =)

Backstreet's Back!!!

WHAT: Backstreet Boys Concert
WHEN: February 27, 2009, Saturday @ 8:00PM
WHERE: Araneta Coliseum

Watched the Backstreet Boys concert last night with my sis. It was an awesome experience! It brought me back to my elementary / high school days. They sang a lot of their hits and the fans went crazy (There were a lot of screaming...hehe). Almost everyone of the audience were on their feet for the entire show. The intermission videos where really funny as well.

Hay...it was nice to be able to see them in person (although we can't see them clearly from where we were standing) and sing along with them.

My sister even bought a copy of their new album right after the show.

I love BSB. =)

My take on the movie HACHIKO

Saw this movie a few days ago and I loved it. It was such a touching story. I was crying like crazy. I can’t believe that a dog can be so loyal and dedicated. My goodness, he waited for nine years! Nine years! Also, it was like they were meant to find each other.

The story was both sweet and heart wrenching at the same time. Even my mom cried when she watched it. I definitely recommend this for those who love sweet / touching (but also sad) stories. The cute doggie was definitely a plus.

Although I noticed that lately, Richard Gere’s characters always die in the end? How come? Hehe. His character here in Hachiko and in Nights in Rodanthe both died in the end. Aw…. how sad. But I liked his performance here better. =)

Foodie Side Trip: Mang Inasal

Went to a Mang Inasal branch tonight with my dad, sis and grandma.

They all had the PM1 (leg and thigh part) while I ordered the PM2 (breast and wing part). Hm....I didn't like it that much. I was a bit disappointed. I think the chicken will taste better if it was reheated. To add, the price was not as affordable as I thought. Too bad. :(

As far as chicken is concerned, I still like Chicken Bacolod the best. The dipping sauce is yummy as well. Even though a bit pricey, the taste and dining experience is all worth it. I always enjoyed eating there. Especially at the GB1 branch.

Happy eating everyone! Hope you find something yummy to munch on. :)
